Set up in five minutes
Open Tagpass in your Shopify admin. On Members, set your member tag (default: member) and click Sync tagged customers. On Card design, check the card and click Save. Then add the Membership card block to your theme: Online Store → Themes → Customize → Add section → Apps.
A customer doesn't see the button
They need to be logged in to your store and have your member tag. In the theme block settings, the tag must match the one on Members.
Changes don't show on a card
Cards update within a minute of a change in Shopify. Apple Wallet can take a little longer when the phone is offline. Opening the card in Wallet and pulling down refreshes it.
Showing points or other customer data
Click a field on the card, open Shows and pick a customer metafield. Create metafields under Settings → Custom data → Customers.
Emailing members their card
In Shopify Flow or Marketing → Automations, start a workflow with the Tagpass trigger “Membership card issued” and send an email that includes its Card link. Members tap it to add the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
Upgrading or canceling
Plans are managed by Shopify. Open Tagpass → Members → Plan to change plans; charges appear on your Shopify bill.
